For Cash Flow Frog companies which are not connected directly to any accounting software such QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero or FreshBooks, cash flow history needs to be imported directly from Excel.

When you create a new Excel company you will be prompted to upload bank transactions. To upload transactions after the company setup process simply click the Import Transactions button on the home page header:

First of all, make sure that the selected currency matches the currency of your transactions:

The currency defaults to the company's main currency as defined during the company setup process.

Next, download the Excel template and fill the table with your transactions:

The table includes the following columns:

  1. Date - mandatory, must be in the past.

  2. Amount - mandatory, positive or negative.

  3. To/From/For - mandatory, the name of the related customer, vendor or account.

  4. Account - mandatory, the name of the related account.

  5. Details - optional, free text.

When you're done, save the file, click the Upload File button and selected the file.
