Include today in your cash flow forecast

By default, your forecast starts from tomorrow. Turn this setting on to include today's scheduled bills, invoices, and projections in the forecast.

What this setting does

Cash Flow Frog divides your cash flow into two parts: history (reconciled bank transactions, payments, deposits etc.) and forecast (predicted transactions such as projections and outstanding bills and invoices). By default, the forecast starts from tomorrow - meaning anything scheduled for today will either be excluded from the forecast, or pushed forward to a future date.

This setting allows you to change the forecast start to today.

When to turn it on

This setting is most useful when you need the complete picture of today's cash activity - not just what has been reconciled so far.

  • You review your cash position first thing in the morning and want to see today's expected receipts and payments in context from the start.

  • You have significant payments going out or coming in and want to see their effect on your running balance right now.

  • You're actively managing a tight cash position and need the most forward-looking view possible throughout the working day.

How to change it

  1. Click the settings icon from the toolbar.

  2. Under General, find the Include today in forecast toggle.

  3. Toggle it on or off. Your forecast updates immediately - no page refresh needed.
