One the greatest benefits that Cash Flow Frog brings to business owners and financial advisors is the ability summarize and visualize complex cash flow activity.
One of the key components for a achieving this goal is the breakdown table.
The breakdown table summarizes cash flow activity over time while grouping transactions in three levels.
The table has two modes:
Cash In/Out - In this mode the first level of breakdown is between cash inflows and outflows, and the second and third levels include several options, depending on the connected accounting system.
Second level options include account type, which is based on the account mapping, and may also include classes, projects, departments, locations and custom tracking categories.
Third level options includes accounts, customers/vendors, and may include subclasses and custom tracking category options.
Cash Flow Statement - In this mode the first level of breakdown is by the type of cash flow activity, i.e. operating, investing and financing, the second level is the sub-type of the cash flow activity and the third level includes several options, depending on the connected accounting system.
Activity sub-types are created automatically based on the accounts pulled from the accounting system, and can be easily customized by clicking on the pencil icon next to the sub-type in the table:
